歷史
密歇尼克灣早年有土地著毛利人聚居。
1804年，紐西蘭成為英國殖民地，密歇尼克灣開始填海.
1860年，歐洲移民開始在本區定居
1930年，密歇尼克灣通火車，當時被稱為奧克蘭火車站（Auckland railway station）， 是奧克蘭市區火車總站。但後來奧克蘭市區火車總站遷到Britomart。
