里士满 (昆士兰州)

里士满（英語：）是澳大利亚昆士兰州西部里奇蒙郡的一个城镇与地区，也是里奇蒙郡政府所在地[2][3]。2011年人口普查结果显示里士满共有522人[1]。

地理

里士满东距汤斯维尔498（309英里），西去伊薩山406（252英里）。有弗林德斯公路、大北方铁路途经此处，几乎平行地向东延伸。在该地区东部边界处有另一座火车站——摩澤爾火车站，以旖旎的田园风光而知名。于1870年代由一位牧民以法国东部的摩澤爾河命名[4][5]。此外还有弗林德斯河沿东西方向流经该地区[4]。

历史

探险家路德维希·莱卡特最早于1862年3月13日在此建立营地[6]。

起初该地被称为里士满唐斯[7]。1880年，于北边的伍尔加发现黄金，里士满开始成为前往伍尔加的重要中转站[8]。1882年12月9日，测绘员约瑟夫·哈格里夫斯对此进行了测绘，1883年4月，城镇出售了大量土地[9]。1899年5月，此地改称里士满[2]。

1889年5月22日，里士满临时学校开学，共有23名学生，1902年，改为里士满州立学校，此时有113名学生[10][11]。大北方铁路于1904年通往此处。该铁路为第一条使用较便宜的道碴填充而非压实土地的铁路，从而降低成本，但是牺牲了车速。人们想以此将火车通往更多区域[12]。里士满公共图书馆于1996年开设[13]。

根据2006年普查结果，里士满人口数量为554[14]。

经济

养牛业及养羊业为当地两大传统产业，但是旅游业比重正在不断加大。该地还是弗林德斯公路的主要枢纽。近年来，古生物学家发现了史前海洋生物化石，其中一些在里士满展出。

基础设施

里士满建有公共图书馆、高尔夫球场、保龄球俱乐部、游泳设施、赛马场、公园、游客信息中心、以及名为Kronosaurus Korner的恐龙博物馆等[8]。

公共图书馆由里奇蒙郡政府运营[16]。

里士满州立学校由昆士兰政府设立，为男女合校，提供小学及初中教育。截至2016年，已有78名学生，10名教师以及12名其他职工，其中七人为全职工[17]。
