子公司Paradox Development Studio主要的代表作品包括欧陆风云系列、维多利亚系列、十字军之王系列、钢铁雄心系列、群星和英白拉多：罗马，以上六个系列的作品采用相同的引擎开发[註 1]。除此之外，該公司曾是骑马与砍杀系列的發行商。

歷史

1999年，Target Games破產，IP轉讓給子公司Target Interactive，後者改名為Paradox Entertainment。

2000年10月20日，在Europa Universalis推出遊戲引擎Europa Engine。2008年4月，允許獨立遊戲開發者自由使用Europa Engine。

2004年，Paradox Entertainment將業務移至洛杉磯，而斯德哥爾摩的業務分拆為Paradox Interactive。

之後便獨立，不再是前者的一部分。

2005年7月14日，收購由Philippe Thibaut設計的Europa Universalis(IP)。[2]

2006年4月，成立Paradox On Demand，11月20日，改名為Gamer's Gate。2008年，Gamer's Gate獨立。

2007年1月23日，在Europa Universalis III推出遊戲引擎Clausewitz Engine。

2007年7月3日，從Cyberlore Studios收購Majesty(IP)。[3]

2009年2月12日，成立Mezmer Games。[4]

2009年12月17日，收購AGEOD[5]，後改名為Paradox France。2012年6月4日，與Paradox France分離[6]，後改回原名。

2011年，在Sengoku使用遊戲引擎Clausewitz 2 Engine。

2012年1月，分離Paradox Development Studio，成為專注於大戰略遊戲的開發工作室。

2014年，成立第二個內部開發工作室Paradox Arctic，位於瑞典于默奧。

2014年1月31日，交還Mount and Blade發行權給開發商TaleWorlds。[7]

2014年3月18日，與Obsidian Entertainment合作。[8]

2015年10月29日，從CCP Games收購White Wolf。[9]

2016年5月27日，腾讯以折合1.38亿人民幣入手5%股份。[10]

2016年5月31日，在Nasdaq First North上市，CEO Fredrik Wester持有33.3％股份，投資公司Spiltan持有30.5％股份。

2017年5月12日，Jon Shafer，Civilization V的首席設計師，加入Paradox Development Studio。[11][12]2017年11月17日，Jon Shafer離開。[13]

2017年5月，成立第三個內部工作室Paradox Malmö，位於瑞典馬爾默，開發Paradox性質的手機遊戲。

2017年6月30日，收購Triumph Studios，位於荷蘭代爾夫特，Age of Wonders開發商。[14][15][16]

2018年1月11日，以200萬美元收購33％Hardsuit Labs股份，一家位於西雅圖的開發工作室。[17]

2018年2月，Wester宣布於8月辭去CEO，由Ebba Ljungerud接替。

2018年6月5日，以750萬美元收購Harebrained Schemes。[18]

2019年1月8日，從Introversion Software收購監獄建築師(IP)。[19][20]

2019年3月，成立Paradox Tectonic，位於加利福尼亞州伯克利，Rod Humble擔任工作室負責人。

2019年4月2日，與Romero Games合作。[21]

2019年4月25日，在Imperator: Rome使用Clausewitz Engine，並增加64位軟體Jomini（來自安托萬·亨利·約米尼），帶來更好的3D渲染及更容易創作mod。
